Dr. Azita Jahangirian
Dr. Azita is the proud owner & founder of Secret Harbour Dental. After completing her Bachelor of Dental Science (BDSc) at the University of Western Australia in 2005, she worked in a private practice for a few years before opening Secret Harbour Dental.
In 2006, she moved to Secret Harbour and began her dental career in a private practice in Mandurah before opening her own clinic: Secret Harbour Dental in May 2008.
Her aim has always been to treat her patients like family and provide them with their best dental experience in the most tranquil surrounds, getting rid of patients fears of visiting the dentist. Building a reputation and getting to know the local community that she loves, she enjoys seeing anxious patients feeling more at ease, calm and stress free with her personable touch & relaxation techniques.

Dr. Azita’s passion lies primarily in dental surgery including wisdom teeth removal, pain free dentistry, cosmetic & ceramic restorations and facial injectables. Having completed many CPD (Continuing Professional Development) courses over the years, Dr. Azita is dedicated to continual improvement especially when it comes to dental surgery, cosmetic dentistry, digital radiography, facial injectables and oral medicine.
Aside from running her business, Dr. Azita enjoys spending time with her four young children. Azita is passionate about a variety of community projects throughout Secret Harbour and East Fremantle and is always seeking ways to contribute to the community, whether it’s through hospital fundraisers, appeals, donations to charities such as Saint Patrick’s or local gardening service projects involving her children’s primary school friends. Dr Azita runs & teaches a neighbourhood children’s class which incorporates instilling virtues and good qualities through art, craft, music and drama.
Dr. Helen Chen
Following her studies at the University of Western Australia, Dr. Chen joined the Secret Harbour Dental team to provide top-quality, personable service to all of our clients.
Dr. Helen is known for her chatty nature and her passion for family dental. She thoroughly enjoys talking, understanding and listening to her patients’ concerns in order to provide them with a personalised experience every time they visit the clinic.

Outside of work, Dr. Helen enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it’s hiking or road tripping to new places. Dr. Helen has a passion for travel, exploring new cultures and experiences.
Dr. Lydia Tan
Since graduating from the University of Western Australia in 2007, Dr. Lydia has striven to ensure that all of her dental treatments are as comfortable, relaxing and stress-free as possible.
Dr. Lydia is dedicated to transforming her patient’s smiles and making sure that they have a positive experience every single time they visit Secret Harbour Dental.

Throughout her ten years of service at Secret Harbour Dental, Dr. Lydia has built a clientele of trusting, loyal and regular clients. Known for her gentle nature, Dr. Lydia is renowned for her desire to put each patient’s needs first.
With a passion for Invisalign, muscle relaxants & dermal fillers in addition to dental implant restoration, Dr. Lydia brings a wealth of experience to our Secret Harbour Dental Team. In her spare time, Dr. Lydia can typically be found chasing after her two boisterous sons, knitting or baking cakes.
Dr. Amelia McPharlin
With over 20 years of experience in dentistry, Amelia is passionate about ensuring you have a positive dental experience. She has a kind, compassionate approach and provides excellent dental care. Amelia loves to help restore smiles and is experienced in veneers, crowns and bridges as well as the restoration of implants. She is also happy to help the dental phobics out there achieve their goals with sleep dentistry. Outside of work, Amelia loves to go adventuring with her family. Having lived the last 3 years in Broome, she had a lot of fun camping and exploring the Kimberley.
Debra Gilbert – Dental Hygienist
Deb completed her associate degree in Dental Hygiene in 2009 and has worked in the private Dental Industry ever since. Deb has developed a keen interest in the management of advanced gum disease (periodontitis) and prides herself in her gentle approach to treatment. Deb also enjoys providing our patients with a whiter brighter smile through Secret Harbour Dental’s different tooth whitening options. Deb believes prevention is better than cure when it comes to the management of gum disease and is passionate about educating patients on how to develop healthy oral hygiene techniques at home.

As a mother of three girls, Deb is confident and loves to treat children by offering preventive treatments such as fissure sealants. Alongside her passion for preventive dentistry Deb enjoys building long lasting relationships with her patients and is always up for a good chat.
Deb travelled to Vietnam in 2010 with the C.H.A.T Dental team to deliver dental treatment for charity. When not busy helping our patients keep their smiles healthy and clean Deb is kept busy with her 3 lovely girls and all their after school activities. Deb enjoys family activities such as camping and trips to the beach.
Karen – Practice Manager
Karen has worked in the Dental industry since 1993 and as such has a vast and varied history of Dental experience. Working primarily as a Dental Assistant in both General and Specialist Dentistry, Karen has assisted in a wide selection of Dental Fields.

Kirsty G – Senior Dental Assistant & Inventory
Kirsty has been a Secret Harbour local since 2009 and joined our team in late 2021. Kirsty has over 10 years’ experience in the dental industry and has worked in a wide range of dental fields including Specialist Dentistry. Before Kirsty joined us she was a lecturer teaching newly graduating Dental Assistants. Kirsty takes care of our inventory and ensures the practice has all the latest, most modern and high quality dental materials and consumables it needs for it’s smooth operation. In her spare time she is a mother of two energetic boys and a lover of the outdoors, enjoying camping and summer days at the beach.
Danielle – Dental Assistant
Danielle is our longest serving dental assistant, having been with us since 2015. Long term patients will know Danielle for her friendly and quiet nature which has helped many nervous patients be put at ease. Dani (as she is affectionately known) is on maternity leave after the birth of her first child. We can’t wait to see her smiling face back with us in the near future and trust she is soaking up her precious new role of motherhood.
Kirsty C – Dental Assistant
Kirsty joined our Secret Harbour Dental team in 2021. With a kind and caring nature, Kristy enjoys meeting new patients and making them feel comfortable throughout the duration of their appointment. Kirsty finds the most rewarding aspect of her role is seeing the positive impact dentistry and restoration of a healthy smile has on a person’s life. Outside of work, Kirsty loves spending time with her husband and dog, enjoying outdoor activities like swimming at the beach or going on nice walks.
Tanya – Senior Dental Receptionist
Although Tanya has recently joined the team at Secret Harbour Dental at the beginning of 2022, she has been a local, living in Secret Harbour since 2009. Tanya has a wealth of experience in the dental industry since starting her career as receptionist in 2011 and has loved every moment of it.
She loves that her job can roll into her two things she’s most passionate about: meeting new faces & having a chat but also helping people feel at ease from the moment their dental experience begins when they walk into our beautiful practice at front desk with her bubbly smile.
She has two small children, a son and a daughter that she adores.
As a family of four, Tanya enjoys bike rides, beach visits, bush walks and stay-cations around the Perth and the South West region.
